"Pivoting isn't plan B; it's a part of the process" -- unknown

Latise Moore, MSW, LCSW

I'm a huge advocate of changing course when things aren't going the way you want them to, or when you feel stuck.

Many people including myself have felt just like this. The biggest question is, how do you fix it?...you PIVOT. You make space and figure out how you got there and determine what it is that you want to do about it.

And I'm here to help you.

I'm Latise.

I'm a lover of many things -- Spending time with my family, and friends, reading, exercising, trying new restaurants and shopping!

I absolutely love being a therapist and helping people reach their full potential. It's my life's work.

I grew up in North Carolina and earned my Bachelor's degree in Sociology and African American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!). I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. I have been working with adults for the last 10+ years in different agencies -- community mental health, hospitals, in-patient psych hospitals and now private practice. I've also completed additional trainings in TF-CBT, CBT for Insomnia, and Brainspotting.

My Approach to Therapy

I have a modern approach to therapy as I feel like it will never be a 'one size fits all' practice. The relationship I develop with my clients dictates the type of approach I take. Rapport building is most important to me in the therapeutic relationship, so I like to connect there first (shared experiences, interests, hobbies, etc.)  Ultimately, we do a deep dive into the issues (or non-issue) that brought you to therapy. But at your pace.
