Frequently Asked Questions
We know you have lots of questions. Here are some common ones that we get.
Is therapy right for me?
Therapy can help if you're facing challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, or if you just want personal growth. It offers a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. If you're seeking positive change or support, therapy could be a great fit for you.
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions? And what is your current availability?
I offer both at this time, though only see clients in person in Indian Land, SC.

I currently offer appointments Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 5 pm, Friday, 9am - 2 pm. EST
Isn't therapy the same as talking to friends/family?
Not quite. While talking to friends and family can be supportive, therapy offers a professional, unbiased perspective. Therapists are trained to help you explore deeper patterns, emotions, and behaviors using proven techniques like CBT, EMDR, and somatic approaches. Therapy provides a confidential, non-judgmental space focused entirely on your healing and growth.
Do you accept insurance?
No. I do however accept, Visa, HSA, and FHA cards.
Please note, some therapists choose not to accept insurance to avoid limitations imposed by insurance companies on session length, treatment methods, and diagnoses. This allows for more flexibility and personalized care without external restrictions.
How does it work? How are sessions structured?
Therapy usually starts with a consultation. Consultation is usually 10-15 minutes where I get to know you and you, me. We review logistics, how I practice and you get an opportunity to ask me any questions you have.

Sessions are structured by an intake (75+ minutes), followed by subsequent sessions (50-60 minutes). In the first session, we determine your goals for therapy. The length of therapy is dependent on the client.
